We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where applicable, Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the Site, we may collect:

  • Contract and event information, such as DJ or business name, contact details, client name and contact details, event type, venue, event date, schedule, pricing, deposit, cancellation terms, services and other booking-specific information you enter.
  • Delivery information, including your name, email address and country when you ask us to send your contract or Professional files.
  • Marketing preferences, including whether you chose to receive DJ business templates, product updates or other marketing emails.
  • Purchase information, such as the product purchased, amount, payment status, transaction/session identifiers and billing-related details made available to us by our payment processor. Payment card details are processed through Stripe’s hosted checkout; we do not store full payment card numbers on our website.
  • Support communications, including messages you send to us and information reasonably needed to respond.
  • Technical information, such as IP address, browser/device information, security logs and basic site activity that may be collected by WordPress, our hosting provider, security tools, cookies or analytics tools.

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information for purposes such as:

  • generating, displaying and delivering the DJ contract you request;
  • creating and delivering Professional PDF and Word files after payment;
  • processing purchases, preventing fraud and maintaining transaction records;
  • sending transactional messages, including secure download links and purchase confirmations;
  • responding to support requests and troubleshooting;
  • protecting the Site, detecting abuse and maintaining system security;
  • understanding how the Site is used and improving the generator and website; and
  • sending marketing emails only where you have provided the required consent or where otherwise permitted by applicable law.

4. Contract Data and Retention

The generator is designed to use the information you provide to create the requested document. Detailed contract data may be stored temporarily so we can generate the files, provide secure downloads, support a purchase and troubleshoot delivery. Free download access is generally available for a limited period, and Professional download access is generally available for 30 days after payment.

We may retain a reduced summary record of a contract or order for reporting, fraud prevention, customer support, accounting and legal obligations. We aim to keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law.

5. Payments and Stripe

Professional purchases are processed by Stripe. When you pay, Stripe may collect transaction, contact, billing, device and payment information under its own privacy practices. We receive information needed to confirm the transaction, identify the related contract, deliver the purchased files and maintain order records.

6. Email Delivery and Marketing

Transactional email is used to deliver contracts, purchase confirmations, Professional download links and support-related communications. Transactional email is separate from marketing.

If you check the marketing opt-in box, we may use your email address to send useful DJ business templates, new tools and product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe method in the message or contacting us. Withdrawing marketing consent does not prevent us from sending necessary transactional messages related to a contract or purchase.

7. Service Providers and Disclosure

We may disclose information to service providers that help us operate the Site, such as website hosting, email delivery, security, analytics, file generation/storage, payment processing and customer support providers. We provide only the information reasonably needed for those services.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to respond to lawful requests, to protect our rights or users, to investigate abuse or fraud, or in connection with a business reorganization, sale or transfer where permitted by law.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for security, sessions, checkout and basic website functionality. If we enable non-essential analytics or marketing technologies, we will use them in accordance with applicable notice and consent requirements.

You can control many cookies through your browser settings. Blocking certain essential technologies may affect Site functionality.

9. International Processing

Some service providers may process or store information outside your province, state or country, including in the United States. As a result, information may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where it is processed.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure or alteration. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so you should avoid entering information that is not needed to create your contract.

11. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access to personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate information, withdraw consent for certain uses, or request deletion where appropriate. Some information may need to be retained for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or transaction-record purposes.

To make a privacy request, email support@djcontracttemplate.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

12. Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for people who can lawfully use the services and enter into the transactions they make through the Site. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review the situation.

The Service is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Users who have not reached the age of majority where they live should use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Site, generator, integrations or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will identify the current version. Material changes may also be communicated through the Site or by other reasonable means.
